Proteins to Grow

We need to proteins to grow. Proteins are nutrients that help our body to grow.

Our worn-out tissues of the body are also needed to repair by proteins. So, they are called the body-building nutrients. We know children need lots of proteins and growing children should be given protein-rich food.

Food items Rich in Proteins

The food materials in which proteins are found and are rich in proteins are all types of pulses, milk, milk-preparations (such as cheese, ghee, etc.), nuts, soyabean, groundnut, eggs, fish, meat, etc. These are body building food.
