Aluminum and its Uses

We will discuss here about the aluminum and its uses. We treat aluminium as a mineral.

Aluminum is another important metal used in our life everyday. It is extracted from an ore called Bauxite. Aluminium is soft, light in weight and a silver colored metallic element. It is a good conductor of heat and electricity. Pure aluminium does not lose its color by weathering.

The different uses of aluminium are discussed here. Aluminium is used to prepare bodies of aeroplanes, electric wires, utensils, furnitures, door and window panels and frames. Aluminium foils are used to prepare tablet strips and to wrap food and other materials. A corrugated sheet of this metal is used for roofing. Fine aluminium dust is mixed in oil for the application as paint.
